Xavier "Grant" Livers

Grant LiversMy name is Shelli Waldridge. I am writing the story of my 8 year old son, Grant Livers who lost his life on July 24, 2010 in an ATV accident.

Grant was the greatest little boy you can imagine. He was full of life, he loved God and he was always wanting to have a good time.  Grant was larger than life, he loved to ride anything that had wheels and was an outdoor lover.  All boy....that's what everyone said of him.  He caught snakes and climbed trees, rode his pony and tied anything up with rope that he could find!

On July 23th, 2010 Grant went to spend the weekend with his grandparents and his two cousins.  They were going to spend the weekend doing "boy" stuff.  They went to the lake on Saturday, July 24th in the morning and swam, ate at Mr. Gatti's for lunch and then went to the family farm to ride four-wheelers.  It started out as a great day and everyone was having a blast until that fatal moment around 7:30 p.m.  Grant and his cousin Garreth were riding separate four wheelers and somehow Grant lost control in a field and his four wheeler flipped over. He was not wearing a helmet as Ky-State law requires for any child under the age of 16.  The back wheel crushed his head and he died instantly from the head trauma.

Our life was forever changed in that moment.  Grant\'s life here on earth ended. I am writing to tell you that 4-wheeler's are not toys and they are not for small children to ride and have fun on.  Hundreds of children lose their lives every year doing the exact same thing as Grant.

I miss him every second of every day. So does his Dad,Step-Dad and his Grandparents along with all the friends and family who loved and knew him. He was hilarious to be around. We will miss his smile and miss seeing him grow up.

Please remember that 4-wheele\'s are not toys. It's ok to hurt your child's feelings and tell them no.  It is better to have them upset and here with you, then gone forever.

In Loving Memory of Xavier "Grant" Livers 5/13/2002 - 7/24/2010
"See you in Heaven"
